Remote reading question Empty Remote reading question

Hi, I have had considerable success giving mediumistic reading face-to-face but I seem to have a block when it comes to reading over the phone or via Skype.   I know logically it should make no difference but so far, admittedly on a relatively small number of readings, it has. I'd like to overcome this fairly quickly and I'm wondering if anybody here has had a similar experience and would be prepared to share how they overcame it.

    Hi and welcome,

You are right it should make no difference but it can be a block when you are inexperienced.

I personally don't promote a mediumistic or spirit reading distantly. I feel that there is a reason the readings are called 'sittings' with the recipient a 'sitter' as it should be done in the sitting room with both parties there face to face. That way the medium can act properly with care as to how the sitter is reacting tot he reading, they may need a tissue a shoulder to cry on or a hand to hold, they may turn within and want to run or shout.

Thanks for that, Crystal. It is actually helpful that you suggest this and it is quite possible that that is the element that is subconsciously blocking me - I cannot pass the tissue box if need be. Despite years of trying to undo them, I still discover perfectionist tendencies and you just helped me see that it never actually matters if I don't do a phone or Skype reading.

Good, sometimes we just need to be reassured and be given a confidence boost :)

I'm the other way round, I don't cope well face to face for readings and I'm not good at meeting people generally as I'm painfully shy, I find I really struggle if  I try to attempt a reading face to face. I don't feel distant readings are any worse for being distant and I have helped people I wouldn't have otherwise been able to reach,  I feel it's down to what you are the most comfortable with.

If we were talking about a tarot reading or something along those lines, oracle or angel card reading then I would agree, but an evidentiary reading then no.
There is far too much evidence that sitters can be left distressed. I can understand why maybe platform work may seem beyond the attainment of a shy person but with proper training and development that shyness disappears.
