White Sage Cleansing?

I've just received two wands of white sage that I ordered online. And i want to cleanse my house. I've never done this before, as I normally cleanse with salt and just my own energies.
When's the best time to cleanse with sage? Any prayers I should say? Which way should I do it? Etc...

Smudging your home with sage is something i do often light the sage sticks have an abalonie shell or a clay pot to catch the remnents open all your cupboards etc and smudge in every corner, you can use a birds feather a crows feather i use.but you can just use your hand to waft the smoke all over,you can say a prayer if you feel like but it must be of all good intention.

Watch out for the neighbours and the police lol, they won't believe it is sage hahaha.

What Native Spirits says is correct but also as you say your prayer ask for the Ancestors or who ever you call on to help you, to remove all the negativity with the smoke from the burning sage.
