Seeing yourself in dreams?
What does it mean if you see yourself as a seperate person in a dream? I've had a few like this, it was like I was watching myself from a distance.
Just when the caterpillar thought the world was over, it became a butterfly.

Re: Seeing yourself in dreams?
Oh and seeing yourself in a mirror in a dream, as normally you don't actually see yourself.

You are in a position of a watcher.
Its mirroring you something, but you need more context.Oh and seeing yourself in a mirror in a dream, as normally you don't actually see yourself.

Re: Seeing yourself in dreams?
I agree...the Observer view.
The mirror could mean 'reflection' ....in the context of the dream.

Re: Seeing yourself in dreams?
A lot of my dreams have been like that. Watching myself. I've never really thought about it before now.

Re: Seeing yourself in dreams?
I have seen myself many times in dreams.
I dont always look like me though I know I am me.
I could relate many dreams like that.

Re: Seeing yourself in dreams?
I think it's like that if you see yourself on a piece of film and in dreams we never see ourselves as we are, even a mirror is not a true reflection and we can't see ALL of us, I don't think we ever look like we imagine we do, it is strange.

Re: Seeing yourself in dreams?
i just had a dream like that last night... ive had them before but mine are really weird and really scare me. the one last night i was looking in my dresser mirror and then i turned around to grab something off my bed, next thing i know something is grabbing the back of my shirt and pulling me backwards really hard. when i glanced over my shoulder i saw my reflection, with this wicked grin on my face, trying to pull me into the mirror. i can't seem to find a meaning to it though.

That must have been a bit worrying, i'm not sure what it could mean though.

Re: Seeing yourself in dreams?
It was the 'dragging back' picture that alerted me.
Dragging back to past memories?
Or....could it be you are remembering the past and wish you could be there once more?
Just a guess...

Re: Seeing yourself in dreams?
OOh I just had a sudden thought since I read your dream again a few minutes ago, perhaps there is something upcoming for you and you are holding yourself back due to lack of confidence or something?

RE: Seeing yourself in dreams?
This brings back a bad dream I had... I saw myself lying on my back in bed and I was being possessed by something demonic, and my eyes were black. I can't remember if my arms were crossed or by my sad, but it scared me because I saw it from standing in the middle of my room. Scary

Hello,
I am new to this forum. I had a very weird and scary dream last night. My dream was: I looked in the mirror and, I saw someone else. Although, It felt it was me. But, I looked like someone else totally different. I got scared to see it was someone else's face in my body and, I looked away. And, the girl in the mirror, she looked like she felt bad about me getting scared at her. So, she too looked down looking sad. But, then I looked back at the mirror again and, she was still there me with this girls face. The girl in the mirror I can still picture her face. And, she looked like she was unhappy and, her mascara was runny as If, she was crying or needed help. I don't know why I looked like someone else. And, it felt so real! Can anybody help me interpret this dream?

Re: Seeing yourself in dreams?
Hi Charms381 a lot of people believe that when you see someone else in a dream it is just another aspect of yourself, using that to interpret the dream it would mean that there is a part of you that is deeply unhappy and the fact that she looked sad that you were scared, perhaps you don't want to face the unhappiness 'head on' so to speak. If this makes no sense to you please ignore what i've wrote as i'm no dream expert, just sharing my thoughts.

Thank You very much Violet. It does make alot of sense. I just need to find out what I am unhappy about. My hubby thought it was someone else trying to ask me for help. Somehow, but I don't know. Your prediction does make sense. I appreciate your help.
Thanks,
Charms : )

Re: Seeing yourself in dreams?
I always see myself in my dreams and sometimes I see myself as a different person but I know it's me. My culture says that you shouldn't be able to see yourself in your dreams unless it has a meaning or something. So it confuses me because I always see myself in my dreams and it's so weird. So does anyone know what that means? Because it's really confusing me and my dreams changes from one topic to another all the time. And I feel like there's a meaning behind my dreams like I'm suppose to do something but I don't know what.
