My daughter has ADHD and she hates taking her medication And I hate giving her chemicals that alter her personality. do you think that balancing her chakras would help. She has agreed to try and I just wanted some thought on the issue. Anyone?

Re: chakras and ADHD
Hi Mary, while holistic therapies might help your daughter, I would not recommend it instead of her medication,as I understand it (i'm no expert by the way I just remember research I did years ago) with ADHA the medication corrects a kind misfiring or interruption of something in the brain so people with this condition can function correctly, holistic therapies are very good but cannot take the place of vital medication imo

Re: chakras and ADHD
I understand about the medicine balancing my daughters chemicals. It just kills me, because she hates taking it and it changes her personality so much. I know she is young but it feels wrong making her take a chemical that she does not want for her body. Her grades are doing very well, much better than last years, and she has been off her medication for the first of the school year. Her teachers contacted me and said that she cannot focus. But she must be in a sense if her grades have improved. beside without the medicine, this is the first year that she has come home and said that she has made friends. I think that this in part due to the fact that she does not feel different because she has to take medicine to calm down. I am really torn. I want to respect her wishes for her body even though she is young but I want her to have all the tools she needs to suceed in school. I just honestly do not know what to do. I know that is aweful for a mother to admit. But truth is truth. And thank you by the way. Insight from anothers path eases the stress. I really appreciate it.
