How exactly are astral projection/OBEs and lucid dreaming related. I lucid dream regularly but don't know how to turn lucid dreams into an OBE

Lucid dreams are very clear dreams almost as if you were there,where ever you feel you are in the dream.. Like visiting some place you know you haven't been to before. You meet loved ones who have passed to the spirit world. You cannot understand that! I have Lucid dreams where I see my parents,friends who have passed to spirit....Treasure those dreams....

The dream world and the astral are synonyms, or are referred to as synynoms, and for the most part, in both places, you are capable of doing the same things.

I have always thought of astral projection as a conscious visitation to the astral plane, whereas a lucid dream can be spontaneous and just happen within dreamtime. Some people also intend to lucid dream. Essentially, from my experience I think you visit the same place - the astral dimension - and you are in control, unlike in a stream-of-consciousness type dream which just "happens" to you. I find intending to lucid dream more successful than consciously astral projecting, but we are all different.
