    Body Language Empty Body Language

How good are you at reading this? Is it important for spiritual work (if your work involves working with people face to face) do you feel it helps you to gauge a sitter's mood /temperament/emotional state while doing a reading so you can quickly assess how to put the reading accross in the best possible way? Maybe you're not aware you actually do this when reading , maybe you don't do this at all and you pick up those things by some other means ?
How does reading body language help you in your day to day life, how accurate is it?

Or do you think body language is a load of nonsense?

I dont do readings, but I do look for body language with my elderly/disabled clients.
I have always been aware of body language, just didnt realise it til I was taught about it by our nursing advisor.

body language can tell you so much about a person, also their voice, sometimes i do think if part of the so called spiritual work is nothing but picking up the other's body language... but then again i push this thought.

Hi shayn, do you (and anyone else) believe reading body language to be helpful when doing a face to face reading ie so you can see if they are nervous and put them at ease?

I don't do readings but for me.... reading body language is merely a confirmation of what I am feeling about the person and situation....like cross checking. :goodvibes: - feather

Hi Feather, that's a good way to use it, do any of you think body language can be wrong or read wrongly?

No cos its made up of so many different things.
    Eyes, shoulders, stance, voice.
If 4 were hidden, there would be another 4 to give it away.

Some say that the langusge displayed by the body is the non-conscious mind expressing its truth  ....not always as the conscious mind leads you to believe. :peace:

hi violet i believe so,but i'm not sure it allways helps to ease the other one, but it can help. body langauge does give a lot of info about the one infront of you. some people can control their body language, and there are some postures or doings that one can control, but there are small expretions that allways gives you away and you can't control them.
actually knowing what the meaning of a posture and doing the opposite can help one to change: one simple thing to try is to keep smiling the whole day.. try it, it is not easy and it doesn't come natural but when doing that and keep doing that till you can spend you day smiling,, see what it does to your mood and the reactions you receive from those around you.
    i find body language fasenating.
