    Can anyone else "smell death"?

I sometimes get a smell of the funeral parlour, when I get that smell it usually means that someone is going to pass over. They're not necessarily related to me but are linked in one way or another. For example, I got the smell a few weeks ago, then I found out off one of my neighbours that their nephew had passed away. A very small link, but after that, no more smell.
Does anybody else have this? If so, what do you smell?

Not a smell but a feeling that something is going to happen.    A heavy feeling?
    Makes me shudder..... :sob:

What does a funeral parlour smell like? I don't think I have ever been into one?

I don't get a smell I just know. But if I knew the smell of a funeral parlour (is it flowers for instance or ammonia) then maybe that would come through too?

I'm not sure how to describe the smell, Crystal. They might not all smell the same. It's definitely not flowers. It's not what I'd call clinical either, it's just sort of, well, deathy...

My sister gets a different smell to mine. Maybe we are getting a smell we can associate with someone passing over and maybe each person smells something different? I just wondered if anyone else gets a smell.

I had been very lucky not to hear a death rattle until my dad had to go into a nursing home, then I suddenly understood the term. The rattling of mucus and the throat closing.

But not all people do have a chest/uri and so no rattle, then the death can be very quiet and peaceful.

You mean by sensing they are not far off death?   Would you believe me I sense it in myself?     Not surprised at my age....I can't wait to go not because I want to die,but dying to see the 'other world'.........
