Re: Mythical Creatures as Guides
I have an adolescent dragon. I wouldn't exactly call him a guide. But he is great fun to be around if he's not knocking things over with his tail.
But he reminds me a lot of the universal conscience the connection we all have. Sometimes he's all play and acts like any other youngster but there are moments when you can just see him connect then he's filled with the wisdom of the worlds. Then he shakes it off and goes back to being his usual self. There are older dragons, but they don't always have a lot of interest in communicating unless they feel it worthy to do so and usually when that happens it comes in riddles. Wait, what am I talking about? Everyone seems to talk in riddles when it comes to the mysteries of the universe!

Re: Mythical Creatures as Guides
I actually have had a few fairies. They are somewhat easy to get along with but arn't the best at protecting. They have a ton of knowledge and can tell you almost anything you want to know but that's pretty much it.
Believe it or not i have actually had a vampire also. They are very easily snapped out of control and are very powerful. They are good at keeping you safe if they like you well enough. Some of them can actually gain some kind of psychic power but not many do. When he was around he told me a ton about the history and how much things have changed.

Thanks for your replies guys.

Re: Mythical Creatures as Guides
Hello
In the book Animal Magick by D.J. Conway she goes over several Mythical Creatures as Guide. I know of a friend with a Gargoyle as his.
Basilik, Centaur, Dragon, Griffon, Pegasus, Phyniox, Satyr, Spynx, Unicorn, Winged Bull, Wyvern, Gargoyles.
Just some.

Not exactly. What i mean is that my guide and i have had a good relationship from the beginning and only have gotten better. We have a lot in common so...we got along naturally. As i see it...when you get a guide or gaurdian you are given one that is supposed to "like" you. But like everything else, they have the ability to change there oppinion about someone. What i believe is that some guides choose you on there own. That means they have there own free will. If they wanted it...they can turn there back on you and make your life harder. I don't know if i am making sense but that is the way i see it.

Hi Cassie, thanks for clearing that up, yes what you said makes sense now, it's just my thoughts are a bit different from yours but differences of opinion make for good discussion

A little 9 yr. old girl I know insists that she sees "imaginary" creatures around her most of the time, she says there are more when she is happy, and I believe her!!! Most adults do not though, they think she is strange(poor darling) I send her Love and Light...

Re: Mythical Creatures as Guides
i never asked for one he just showed up one day and for many days he just been around said nothing, and then one day he came and spoke to me, and since we sometime talk but mainly he is just around. but as far as i remember myself i allways felt close to unicorns. even though everyone around told me it is a make believe world, for me unicorns are very real. and now it is even more then believing they are real, i know they are...i'm not sure if this makes sense at all.. oh well
L'angel i hope you will find your unicorn friend.

Re: Mythical Creatures as Guides
Shayne, it makes complete sense.
Before I awakened, I collected Unicorn figurines, I had almost 200 of them, apart from unicorn pictures, about 10 and unicorn clothing, pendants, brooches etc.
I always knew unicorns are real.
I think they are in a paralell dimension, just through a veil.
In 2004, he came to me. I cannot remember when or the circumstances.
Now I only have to look and he is here :)

Try tracing them, then when you have the feel of it, try drawing them yourself.

Re: Mythical Creatures as Guides
Interesting you all are speaking of unicorns, in fact before my dragons appeared I was very into Unicorns. I loved them and their beauty and grace. I used to collect books of unicorns and there is this book that has photographs of Unicorns. Now I don't know how the photographer managed to do this book but it is stunning and beautiful. It is called Unicorns I have Known.

There is the link to the book. A thick heavy book with practically every page a full page of Unicorns.

I never felt drawn to unicorns but i'm terrified of horses, that could be why.
