Initially when I was learning to meditate I had the same problem as everyone else. I couldnt get my logical brain to shut up. Then I found that if I visioned myself in a circular white room with lots of white doors. I would sit on the floor all in white in the middle of this room. As soon as I saw a door beginning to open (Thought coming through) Telepathically that door would be slammed shut (without noise). At first it was hard keeping up with the doors. Over time the doors became less and less. Hopefully anyone who is starting out on Meditation may find this method useful.
