Brow chakra during meditation?

I just wondered if any of you had ever experienced any sensations in your brow chakra when meditating?

Dear Violet,
For over 35 years I have practiced what is called
third-eye meditation.I have used it as an opening into
other inner dimensions.I use to go into a long tunnel
often variable in colour and exit most of the time into
an inner space of a bright blue sky with a sun hanging
in it.I often flew into the sun and penetrated through it
into other dimensions.I was never fully in control
but was pulled.I completely withdrew from my body often
with very severe shaking.
Is this the sort of information you are looking for?
Are you yourself involved in this type of meditation or
other?.Have you had similar experiences and if so did
they have an effect on you?

I usually meditate by imagining the sea,swimming or 'seeing' the waves come in.
I've never had any experiences as such except feeling the waves around me.

Joanie my own feeling about meditation is you are best
doing what is comfortable for you.Meditation is fine:
visions are very natural.In my opinion nothing to get
excited about.If it helps to improve one as a person
that is the essential thing.

I'm using a spare laptop,we keep at my daughter's,very handy.
While my own is being repaired.

I have always loved swimming,the water soothes me,Steve.
Must have something to do with being a Pisces.

I'm always interested to read of others' experiences, yours sound fascinating, I haven't travelled as you have but have had some peculiar sensations in and around the third eye area.

I do meditate and enjoy it very much, I find it useful in many ways, I also have visions when i'm not meditating.

I've been noticing a couple of perceptual changes during meditation to what I found out was my 'brow chakra'. It started with what seemed like an energy field behind closed eyes that manifested when I glanced upwards. That has diminished somewhat. I'm now experiencing something that feels like a pulling sensation above the bridge of my nose. I can replicate the sensation by holding my finger tips close to the same area.

I've also been having claircognizant experiences for about a year and a half.

Is any of this similar to what is happening to you?

Hi all!
It's been few days I have got kind of the same feelings while meditating. And I could not understand so I searched in the net and then I found this forum, luckily.
I have got feelings of pressure above my eyebrow and when reading a book by Doreen Virtue she mentioned about the "Ear Chakra" saying that was preatty much localised in this area... I can not understand what this pressure means, neither the ear chakra... But I know that right now while I am writing I am still feeling it, just a little... just above the eyebrows. And it happened the same while reading of spiritual stuffs....

Does anybody know what is it?

Same goes for me, lol. Although mine get uncomfortable soemtimes if I dont look in the rite direction. Sometimes it just does how it wants though.

It's the brow chara which is located in that area (just above the eyebrows) as far as i'm aware. I'm not sure what that pressure means unless it is the brow chakra, (or third eye as it is often called,) being stimulated in readiness for psychic or spiritual awareness/development.

As far as I know we have to power it up first and then meditate, I find I have to work on it a bit, have alot of movements, jaw, muscles, neck, undernose etc, then when I release it gives me a bit of bliss. You know when its powered up as if you smoke, when you take in the air, send it there and your feel a orgasm in the head if its powered up, lol.

I dont, earlier I did and ahh felt so nice. I still have issues where sometimes im too concious of where to look etc. Mantras help, if not imagine what ever you want.

Great to hear from somebody who's got the same! Although in my case it happens without my control, even now that I am reading this blog it activeted itself! And same happens if I read of something spiritual related!

Don't know....
We'll see in the future how it goes! If I find a remedy, I'll keep you informed!
