Has anyone had any success with one of these?

Re: Scrying Mirrors
I have two polished Black Obsidian mirrors. They were made for me by a friend. They are brilliant for scrying although some people find Obsidian very heavy to work with, these are Peruvian and the Obsidian from there is much softer and gentler and totally unlike the mor masculine Mexican stuff.
There are lots of rumours about scrying with mirrors. And to be honest they are not for the faint hearted as illusions can appear and scare the hell out of you! eeek But for that very reason they are also not that difficult to get good projections from either :)
One can also use a plain mirror to scry with too, far less expensive and easily accessible too. I love scrying by candellight or in the moonlight, I find the eery light helps the atmospshere.

Re: Scrying Mirrors
I've had some success with plain mirror gazing, but you're right it can be alarming

Re: Scrying Mirrors
One of my favorite make shift tools used for scrying is the paint program on windows. You could probably use any program that lets you "paint," I just use the systems default one. I start out with someones photograph. Then I cute the subject of the picture out and paste them into just a plain black background. The black allows their aura to show up, then I start to paint and doodle an image of what ever I see. What comes back can be anything from colorful waves, to images of stars, wings, geometric signs, or past life information. its always fun for me to do, one of my favorite sit down meditations.

Scrying?
Ive used the monitor when it is switched off before showing just the black screen. I find the images start to come through then. Until now I hadnt actually considered this as scrying but I suppose it is really.!
