New tarot cards Empty New tarot cards

Post  millergrls Tue Nov 20, 2012 12:59 am

I bought some new tarot cards today. I purchased Faery wicca tarot cards. These really pulled to me. But I am having a difficult time understanding them. Can anyone give me any tips for them. I think that I should have just gotten the original ones. These once just really called to me. I liked them very much. But I do not understand any of the words. New tarot cards 160943

Significator cards, can any explain this a little bit. when I read about it it says that you use this as your energy card for the layout but it is not a part of the layout and you can choose it?

    sounds good Mary.

normally i say buy the deck you feel is calling you. but at the same time i believe that when learning the cards, the rider-waite ones are the best, once you have good foundations you can do whatever you like.

about a significator : you don't need to use it if you don't feel like it. it is just a card you pick to represent the person you are giving the reading for. there are many ways of how to pick the "right" card for that, but the simplest is to follow your intuitions and pick the card you feel is the most representing this person.

I agree with Shayn but you could try just going through your cards looking at them and seeing how each image makes you feelwhat does the image mean to you?

I don't bother with a significator I think some of these methods can complicate a reading, you know who your reading for all you need to do is keep them in mind as you shuffle them, or if they are there with you ask them to shuffle them.

Reading for yourself can be confusing I really struggle trying to do that.

Let the cards speak to you, sit quietly looking a the pictures, what's happening in the picture, remember the old story books with no words and you told the story using your own words based on what you could see in the images? Try that, also pay great attention to any feelings they evoke in you, sad, happy, afraid, joyous, jealousy dislike, distrust, even confusion these will all be telling you something, but more than the pictures alone is the card light and airy or is it dark and miserable, do the colours mean anything to you, are there animals on the images, what qualities do those animals have that you can put into the reading, what are the expressions on the faces of any people on the cards, what are the people doing? Another key point imo it to not try to remember any meaning you get for any card beyond that moment because as your readings develop and you build up a rapport with your cards you'll find the cards mean something completely different each time you look at them, you'll see different things in them, have different feelings about them. It's good to note other things too such as what's in the foreground of the card (future) and things in the distance(the past) but you will find your own way with them these are just tips which may help you.

I'd lay them out exactly as you please and tell the story they relate to you, go with the flow relax and enjoy.

I will keep that in mind Violet, thank you. I took them to work today to do a reading for my co-worker and then ended up doing six. They were are all amazed. I had them ask a question but keep it to themselves until after the reading. They were suprised and said that it was quite accurate. I will start studying the cards to see what I feel from them. That sounds like a very good idea. Thank you. I appreciate it.

also you can pick one card a day.

meaning, each day shuffle the cards and ask for a daily message, a card that will be like a guiding light for that coming day. then cut the deck and pick up the top card, this is your daily card. at first, don't try to get a message, just keep this card and images in your head and look at your day, see what connections you may find between your day and the card. also you can use this card in your meditation, while meditating, look at your card - see what happens, and if you get messages or info of some sort, write it down.

this is more intuitive work with the card, but it also build your language with the cards.....

I just bought faery wiicca book one and two. I am hoping to understand the spirtual meaning to each card to help me better in my interpretation. I know that if I can understand it on this level then I will be able to understand my cards on a more intuitive level, have more of a connection with them.

Suprisinlu well. I have done what you have suggested and have been picking one card at a time. Draw my own conclusions and then later I study the meaning. I study it until I know it well. Then I am choosing another card. So thank you for that. My reading are going very well. I have had many people at work approach me to do their reading. Even my boss New tarot cards 809779. I tell them to ask a question but to not tell me what it is. I have them shuffle them and then do a reading. Keeping it small for now. But they all have told me that have been very accurate. Some have told me their question at then end and some have not. I figure it is their choice of whether or not they want to share their question with me due to the fact that it might be personal. But so far it is going very well, and more people keep asking. This is funny because I hadn't even asked if anyone wanted a reading. Someone saw that I had the cards and asked for a reading and it began there. I even did a follow reading with my astrology cards for someone on the same question that they had with the tarot cards. Thank you so much for asking.New tarot cards 621623

I have these cards and I like them. They're all renamed and there are extra cards that confuse most people. I take the extra cards out of the pack and just use the 78.

The extra cards confused me at first without a doubt. But I love the cards there more I get to know them. They seem very accurate to me. I have two books about faery wicca with hopes that it will help me gain a deeper understanding.New tarot cards 15910

Yes they do help, they are mostly about the origins of the faery wicca, and they give me a greater understanding of the meanings of the cards, so when I am trying to learn the cards they make more sense for me and they are easier to understand. They are very spiritual cards.

Glad you got to grips with the deck. It is one that I played with then got left on my shelf as I felt disappointed with it.

However the original Rider Waite Smith deck is the one I carry round in my bag, never know when it is needed and people seem to expect it of me.

Have you bought any other decks since this thread started, it is a few years old.
