    :bfs:  Kind heart, gentle heart:

Rescue the drowning insect; carry the snail on the pavement to safety; return the helpless worm, writhing on concrete, to the sanctuary of Mother Earth.
Render help and kindness, wherever it is needed, to all life, great or small. Suffering has no boundaries, neither should compassion.

Some people kill from fear or ignorance.... Just because insects etc. are small doesn't mean they should be treated disrespectfully necessarily.

Rather than stamp on a spider, place a large, upturned glass over it. Then (either yourself or someone else) can slide a card under the glass....the spider will still be trapped. With a back door open, simply raise the glass/card trap outside and release the card with a movement away from self. Simple. Kinder too.

Instead of reaching for that fly spray, if you have an annoying fly in the room, just open a window. The fly will always (eventually) gravitate to the draught and leave the premises. If there is not much wind (calm day) and you are impatient, simply wave fly in the direction of the opened window.

The sentiment is toutching if people see it that way,i do but I cant speak for others.as for placing a glass over a spider, may not be so easy to do for people with phobias they would stand in shock  or even worse.not myself I may add they don't bother me.

Saving bugs, worms, mice, and other small creatures, means for food for the their predators.

Beautiful. My son is instinctively drawn to help even the smallest of creatures. He always picks up worms from the pavement and finds soil for them, and he will ask for help rescuing tiny spiders from the bath before turning the taps on (they're too fast for him).
