Has any member here actually lived in a truly haunted dwelling?

Where they are seriously concerned about the haunting?

I have not personally, but my Aunt does from what she says. Her house is very old, like 70 years about. It's 2 stories tall, and she claims doors open and close randomly, and footsteps can be heard all around the house. She is not worried though, because she said it's a nice ghost. I don't know for sure whether it was a 'ghost' or not, and i can't communicate with her to find out completely.

We can have 'visitors' in a new home as well.....
When we used to go house hunting, looking for a new home, preferably a brand new house,he used to check the home for unwanted visitors.    Spirit are not particular where they haunt....it's not only the building where they stay,it could be the land the house is built on....

I love this!  At seventy years old a house is old in the eyes of a youngster.  As I'm 67 I guess I'm also approaching being "very old" too....

I affectionately consider myself to be a haunted house.

    Hello

My first house had a murder in it.  When the main floor became empty both moved back in in spirit and re lived the murder event. We would hear a loud thud on the wall and then a bump. This went on after new tenants moved in and she was a Medium so he helped me understand more about myself and what was happening there.

The house had a chimney but no fireplace we just assumed that it was removed to make more room in the living room. This was so not the case.  It was removed as they could not get the blood out of the grout.  It was a murder but ruled domestic abuse so he got away with it.  He was controlling of his wife and came home to no dinner on the table. It seems that she did not take out the roast beef for the meal and it was still frozen and not cooked.  He was lived and threw it at her, hitting her in the head with it. This was the thud we heard then she fell on the fireplace and died there.  This was the bump that we heard.

I went to the news paper archives and found the headline "Killed with Slab of Beef" and our house address.  We crossed them both over.

My current house has two woman in it that lived here. On is the lady that had the little house that was on the two lots that were here, and the house was built for her. She so loved the garden here and we still have two rose bushes that she planted.  The other is the second owner of the house, she too passed here, and loved the house. She loves to cook.

    Lynn
