Re: Identifying an Old Soul
Back....
Very interesting,Amy....I've read a lot about 'old' souls and the climb to being an old soul. Once reached that destination, there are no more lives to be lived, not on the physical any way....
Each life we live,we improve our 'standing'.
Like climbing a staircase.
I don't know the whole story about the kind of lives we have to live but each life is a lesson..

Re: Identifying an Old Soul
I believe life affords many lessons - perhaps a major one that we came here for. I see humans as being
at various stages of spiritual evolution. It seems that mediums can detect an old soul - I have had 2 tell
me that my soul is old. In my teens I had direct access to my intuition in a major way. I recall others
being amazed by what I said but it came out effortlessly, i.e. without thought. It felt like my ego was
being bypassed and something wiser was coming through. I wasn't channelling anything external.

Re: Identifying an Old Soul
How do they do that,Amy? Unless they are old souls themselves.....
Must admit I can listen to someone talking and the subjects they talk about are well beyond me....I often think they must have lived quite a few lives...

Re: Identifying an Old Soul
I have read the Michael teachings some years ago, and it gave me an understanding, people do what they do simply they are at that stage of their development, and I might have been on that level at some point myself. This is rather normal.
I don't quite agree with the list of old soul. The Dalai Lama is not in an incarnation cycle all actors are at best mature souls, Aurelius is still incarnating. Bach was perhaps an early stage old soul, but this is never clear cut, there are no clear markers of cause. Just someones judgment or opinion. Jung certainly was not.
It would be difficult to find some famous old souls, simply because they hide away. They don't seek any fame or lime light.
Amma, the Indian Lady is the one outstanding old soul in that list.

Re: Identifying an Old Soul
I must admit Detlef I don't know an awful lot about old souls. Only that reincarnation raises their status if I can put it like that...
