Memories of another Life?

Tired this afternoon after shopping this morning.   Just about been out all day.

Fell asleep in the chair and dreamed I was in another house,an old type cottage.  This linked me to another cottage I dreamed about a good while ago.The other cottage was in the country.    This was beside the sea,waves rolling in.
Sea so blue.   My little Pippin was with me.  
Curled up my knee....A knock on the door and a strange man was standing there,he seemed to know me but he was a stranger to me.
He started to talk to me about the past.   About being life long friends.
Good friends.  I was told we had been connected through many lives.

How can I prove this?

It's a tricky one without dates or names or a clue as to where the cottage might be.

I have dates and in some cases names as well for a few of my past lives, but because they were "unknowns" as it were and there isn't much in the way of documentation, I still cannot prove it historically to myself, though some details I experienced in my past life meditations are true to the period. They are definitely hard to prove.

However, I would say, follow your intuition in terms of where it leads you. I generally find that if a past life comes up for me, it is usually because there is something in it that is significant to a current or upcoming situation in my life. When this happens, I usually get details in a few bits, via meditation, readings and/or deja vu. If this past life holds some information or experience which could benefit you now, then your path may take you to that very cottage, or enable you to cross paths with your friend from the dream. This in itself would be a form of proof for you.

I've had two dreams like this,one a while ago and this recent one.
 Both in a thatched cottage,one with my husband and the recent one with a stranger.
I'm very interested in who the stranger is.....and why he should appear in a personal dream....

He may be a stranger in the physical form, as you say, but perhaps he is not a stranger to you on a soul level. If there is any significance to it, you'll see him again...either in further dreams or in reality.
