No of course not, the new princess has her own life to lead and her own goals and destiny.

Well said!     Though a lot of folk believe that Diana will return maybe not for revenge but a love for her children which will never die.....

I have no doubt that her grandmother is looking over and watching with a careful eye but the baby's energy is new and her own :)

We now have the statement from Kensington Palace.


A spokesman said: "The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are delighted to announce that they have named their daughter 

  Charlotte Elizabeth Diana.

"The baby will be known as Her Royal Highness Princess Charlotte of Cambridge."

Hmm, what an interesting way round for the names, congratulations to them

I wonder if the name Charlotte is linked to Princess Charlotte Augusta of Wales. Sadly her death bears similarities to the late Diana, Princess of Wales, in so much as she died young (21) and Charlotte's death set off an exceptional amount of mourning among the British public.

I hope Princess Charlotte Elizabeth Diana has a long and happy life.

As long as Diana's name is included,that is the way it should be!   As the mother of a future queen or past queen,whatever,nothing should be hidden!!!!!!!

Well said,Carron!    As long as the mother,Princess Diana 's name lives on,that is the way it should be.  Why should she be forgotten?    

Of course Diana will never be forgotten and I am sure that Harry will include his mother's name in any name of his children. But of course Elizabeth the Queen Mother, and Elizabeth our Queen are special to the country too.

There will always be the question though about Diana's death!

There was a mention a while back shortly after Diana died that our Queen had a hand in it!    It was very quickly hushed up!  

Charles and Diana were divorced, there was no reason to get rid of her.

It was a tragic accident.
