Are you scared of dying?
Are you scared of dying, or just how you will die, or do you have no fear at all of any part of death?
Have your beliefs (whatever they are,) helped you fear it less, more, or not made any difference?

Not at all... I know it's a little morbid but I am actually looking forward to it.

Hi Innerlight, imo death is never discussed enough, I don't think it's morbid at all it's a natural process, and it's good to hear you don't fear it

Re: Are you scared of dying?
I have no fear of dying and yes my beliefs have helped me understand a lot about passing over.
Also guiding others to the light/tunnel have shown me there is nothing to fear.

Yea, it's always been a natrual part of life... The only thing I would be concerned with is how it would happen. If it would be painful up until it was close to my time.

Re: Are you scared of dying?
I do not fear it at all now, I don’t want the sting to be nasty, so I hope it will be fast. When I had my stroke and realized that death was just around the door and trusted that angels and God truly exist, I felt so much better. Its funny in that when you are in perfect health and younger you tend to put the divine on the shelf for now. When you realize your true mortality, then you start talking to God again, and taking it seriously. How can you pass that on to others?

Re: Are you scared of dying?
Well personally im not afraid of death. Not very afraid of the "How" to. But i do prefer a quick and consiouce ending. I guess there isnt more to say.
The only thing i dont want is die while sleeping.

Re: Are you scared of dying?
I don't think I'm afraid of death - certainly it doesn't cause me fear so I guess that's the key. But I hope I won't have a lingering, incapacitating death. Perhaps by the time I'm ready to kick my clogs there'll be a way I can choose to go - but, then, would I have the courage to let go deliberately?
As I may have mentioned, my outlook on life is based on the continuation of it after physical death and I hope I'll still feel interested in the trans-dimensional communication aspects which presently interest me. I expect I'll have a lot of questions to ask once I'm settled in!
It will be interesting for me to find out whether the aspects which interest me now still interest me when I've passed over - won't have any way of communicating that outcome back to those I've left behind anyway!!
But everyone else who might have known my involvement might have gone before me and already know what I've still got to wait to find out....go figure that one!

I wonder if it's harder on families and friends when we pass in our sleep as they don't know it's gonna happen and don't get time to properly say good bye. Unless it's been something that was known to becoming.
In the book I have, Learning from the light, the patients that were close to dying all talked about how towards the end that they were not feeling pain, even though their bodies were falling apart. Most refused meds becase they didn't want their final moments to be distorted by the meds and wanted to be able to see "spirit" and loved ones that are past with their own abilities and not under drugs.

Re: Are you scared of dying?
I hope that's true Innerlight about the pain easing, it can be very hard when people pass unexpectedly in their sleep, but in some circumstances it can be a kinder way to go for all concerned.

Re: Are you scared of dying?
I've never been afraid of death and even as a girl I was never afraid of it. The way I see it and saw it was that when my time comes, it comes and it could be this year or next month or when I am 65 etc etc.
The only thing I don't want is to be reliant on life-support machines...seriously I would prefer a mercy killing and anyone who was helping me to pass away would not be performing a killing-I don't care if it is called murder but in my eyes if I've given permission then you're not killing but just helping a person along.
The only thing that terrifies me is the decomposition and I have a certain fear of rot or fungus-even on fruits and vegetables I find it a little ikky! And I have a fear of handling blue cheese-I know, I know it will only be my physical body left over when I die and that decomposition is natural but it still frightens me!
I'm not concerned over where I will go when I die. Ok I mean I have been curious as to what happens but it's not something that bugs me and I don't really feel I need to find out...whatever happens, happens...
My most preferred form of death would be to die in my sleep-or have my head either cut or guillotined off ...none of this agonising stuff please!

Re: Are you scared of dying?
I have extereme respect from death.
Its THE moment where its deciding where we will go.
Heaven and Hell are both open for the shaky soul.
Light and prayer are must.
May God be with us, holding our hands when we take our last breath!

Why is it that when that happens I can picture someone saying "Well did you like it this time around??"Akyana wrote:I have extereme respect from death.

That's how i'd like to go too, in my sleep, i'm worried about having some long painful illness but dying itself doesn't scare me
