Are you scared of dying?

Are you scared of dying, or just how you will die, or do you have no fear at all of any part of death?
Have your beliefs (whatever they are,) helped you fear it less, more, or not made any difference?

After seeing Ken die of cancer,I pray I will never suffer from that disease.

I know what you mean Joan. When I worked as a nursing auxillary I saw this dreadful disease take many lives it's one thing I don't want to die from.

I don't fear death at all. I'll be a happy person dying. I think believing that I'll be in a better place makes me feel happy. I don't want to live an old man either. I just want to die when I'm supposed to...

Hmm.... I wouldn't mind reaching really old age, if i'm healthy.

I might not be so healthy but I definitely believe I'll die of sickness. I'm not that kind of person who does bad business like in movies. I won't be doing anything that'll make people want to kill me. :P

It's strange you know, but over the years i've spoken to a lot of people and quite a few believe they know how they will die. It makes me wonder if some are given this information in advance or if they just know somehow.

AHha. I'd rather die in my sleep though (I'm sure most of us do...). But, I don't care how I die. I definitely am sure I won't die of a heart attack because I will never smoke or drink...

Yes I think most of us hope for that it seems the most peaceful way to go.

Both my father and mother died very peacefully.

My dad slept away and my mother as well.

Both peacefully.

I was with mum when she passed but she was regaining consciousness now and again. She was in no pain and opened her eyes to give me a sleepy smile,then she was gone.

I have no fear of dying and never have, I seem to have always known it would be ok.

I hope I will die when I am in the middle of one of the lucid dreams I dream.

I dream I visit the spirit world seeing many relatives and old friends there.

I believe that is a halfway mark to spirit. So hopefully that will be my destination.
